Cylindrical Bright
What kind of insect is this?
It’s bright lime green, has 8 long legs (they are barbed and a lighter green than it’s body); here’s the weird part: not really a segregated body (head and torso) – it’s got one long, blunt but cylindrical body shape. And, it’s eyes are very small, black, and at the top of it’s head. It looks like it had “eyebrows” by the way it’s head part is shaped (not just flat with eyes on top, but comes to a distinct shaply point where the eyes are – and the eyes face forward).
I’m thinking an arachnid sub-species????
I’m doing my own search, but if anyone can help me out, I’d appreciate it.
Oh! I’m in South Carolina, too – if knowing the region helps.
Thanks to all who answered!! I’ve actually positively identified it as a Green Lynx Spider!!! I’ve never noticed one until now, and they are beautiful!

If it has 8 legs and eyes on the top of its head, its an arachnid…probably a spider.
