How to train your voice to sing higher pitched songs?
My throat sometimes starts to hurt after singing higher pitched songs. Like, songs from Led Zeppelin and Queens. Is their a way to train my voice so I wouldn’t strain it so much? Is there something I can take? Or some kind of lessons that I can do?
Cantilena91 is giving you some good advice that you should take seriously. I only have one thing to add. With the public’s obsession over singing high notes, and pretty much equating the ability to sing high as the same as the ability to sing well, they overlook one really important fact. Not everyone is really meant to sing high. You might be straining so much because you are constantly pushing your top notes and trying to sing even higher! Singing shouldn’t hurt! Some people have lower voices than others. Take lessons and see what your natural range really is. Depending on what your Mama gave you (Mama Nature) will determine how high or low you should be singing.
