does my 07 impreza have…?
traction control and vdc? i know it has ABS becasue i felt them before, but idk about the other two.
what do each of these 3 things do? do they actually help?

All Subarus sold in the US have AWD (all-wheel drive). This means that the brains of the car will try to keep all of the wheels moving at the same speed while you are driving. The cars do not explicitly have a traction control button like some vehicles, but they will attempt to keep the vehicle under control if one wheel starts spinning faster than the others (e.g. it goes onto the soft shoulder of the road).
ABS is the anti-lock braking system. It does exactly what it says: keeps the brakes from locking up under hard deceleration. The ABS unit will pump the brakes hundreds of times per second to keep the brakes from locking (and thus the car from sliding on its tires), much faster than any human could pump the brakes to avoid colliding with an object.
